About
Hello! My name is Zoe Wooten, and I am a lover of writing and art. I currently study at the University of Cincinnati in the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP).
I was born in Lianjiang, Guangdong, and adopted into Cincinnati a week shy of a year old. I fell in love with art early on, teetering between drawing and writing. I adored learning Spanish in school, and I still use the childish hieroglyphs I made as a kid. For fun, I taught my little sister cursive before she reached kindergarten.
I often linger in graphite, but have love for acrylics and ceramics too. For writing, realistic fiction and poetry is what I enjoy.
My work explores family, adoption, identity, childhood, God, and various types of relationships. I am driven by trying to understand human function and relations, and expressing personal ideas that challenge popular belief.
